AJAX interface for phpGW admin module

We’ve had 3 students, Laure Chivot, Franck Duchi and Mathieu Talibart working on improving phpGroupware’s user interface in the admin module, trying to use AJAX techniques.

They’ve achieved some encouraging results using the Yahoo! UI Library (YUI).

You’ll find some screenshots of the results here.

All they have developped is archived in a project on Picoforge at GET/INT (phpgwadmin project), waiting for more work and maybe integration upstream.

Web2.0 workshop ahead in Rennes in early July

I’ll be visiting Rennes (France) in early July for the « Les étés TIC de Bretagne » conference/workshop, which promise 3 days of gathering around Internet and Web2.0 usages in Britanny.

This will be an oportunity for our Contrib 2.0 project to have a workshop, and advance a bit more our research agenda.

In between, I’ll have xen setup to demonstrate some novelties of PicoForge, I hope.

PicoForge is in RC state

PicoForge on which we’ve been working for the past months, the successor of the PicoLibre forge, has entered RC (Release Candidate) state.

It means that if you follow instructions on PicoForge install instructions on PicoLibre’s wiki, you should be able to install a working PicoForge forge on a debian etch dedicated machine.

Update 2007/03/10 : Corrected link, as PicoForge is now self-hosting. The wiki is now on Picoforge.int-evry.fr 😉
